Google’s Nexus One has always made upgrades available to the
latest version of the Android operating system. So far, however, Google has
indicated that Nexus One will not upgrade to Android 4.0 in the future, as the
storage capacity of its hardware is insufficient.
Google’s Nexus One, launched in 2009, has been upgraded from Android 2.1 to
Android 2.3. More recently, however, some users were wondering whether Nexus
One could be upgraded to Android 4.0, because the Nexus S had already been
upgraded. However, according to Hugo Barra, director of mobile products for
Google, Nexus One is not able to support Android 4.0 and may stick with Android
2.3.x for the moment. In addition, they are still working on release of the
upgrade of Android 4.0 for Nexus S in a couple of weeks.
